ANTIQUE COLT NAVY REVOLVER, BREVETE - Lot #4690

This is a really nice 1851 Colt Brevete Navy Revolver and so marked on the top of its barrel. I've always liked these guns and when I find one at a fair price, I always make an attempt to purchase it, if it rings my bell. This one chimed away and was particularly interesting due to one special feature, and I've never seen another like it. It's a ten-shot model. That's right, 10 shots of .25 caliber. The gun is in rock-solid condition with crisp edges, markings and action and a nice set of full grips. It even has all of its slightly worn cylinder scene. I have had 3 of these guns with inscriptions, one Confederate and two Union. These were obviously shipped by both Northern and Southern agents when available for purchase. A cool Civil War Era gun that would look great with a nice holster. I doubt you'll find its mate. If this doesn't sell, I'll be happy to keep it.
