This is a factory engraved (Gustav Young Shop) Colt, 1851 Navy Revolver with factory ivory grips. It is in sharp, crisp condition with near perfect Ivory grips showing age checks to their bottom, most of a now light cylinder scene and crisp action. All edges and markings are equally as sharp and the gun shows minimal use, but only the slightest trace of original finish to the bottom of the barrel. Even the screw heads are excellent. Many of these in the 90,XXX serial range went south to dealer in Richmond, Virginia and were purchased and carried by Confederate Officers during the Civil War.
