ANTIQUE HENRY RIFLE - Lot #4294

This is an absolutely untouched Henry right out of a farmhouse in Burton, Ohio and it is very pretty. It had been in the same family since the late 1800's and probably earlier. This gun only has a few minor handling marks to its perch-bellied stock which retains all of its original finish. The frame is a deep and dark, nut-brown patina that shows minor nicks and some staining, probably due to powder residue that was never cleaned off. Its edges are still sharp. The barrel retains about 25% original blue mixing with deep, rich, plum-brown patina and the edges are sharp. Over-all, the gun is sharp and crisp to include all markings and the action. This gun has never been on the market before and is an early, perch-bellied gun in the 10XX range. It is untouched, never cleaned or enhanced in any way, shape or form. Straight out of a 3rd floor closet of an old farmhouse and in very, very fine condition.
