Very nice Confederate Boyle & Gamble Saber Bayonet for the Civil War. This is an out-of-the-woods find that came to us last week. It is as honest as the day is long. Beautiful, deep, rich patina with traces of verdigris. Untouched, with Roman Numeral VI stamped at the spring base. Lock-pin and spring are missing. The blade is average showing use and age but no severe pitting or loss to the metal. I have seen several similar examples at well over $2,000.
