This is a rare, fluted cylinder Colt 1860 Army Revolver that letters to Peter Williams and Company in April of 1861. Obviously seeing Confederate use, It is untouched and out-of-the-woods, having never been offered to the collecting fraternity until this listing. Action, edges and markings are very good and it is in brown patina. The loading lever screw is missing and obviously broke during its period of use as it has been replaced with a rod that was flattened on both sides to retain its seat. The grips are nice and full. A fine, historical Confederate Colt pistol.
