This is a great gun out of my personal collection. I bought it over 10 years ago at the Pottstown, Pa. show and paid handsomely for it. This gun is untouched and in rich brown patina blending with generous amounts of blue and case-colors in protected areas. The frame shows some bright colors on each side where the stock protected it. The canteen stock is in equally fine condition and matching. The set is attic mint, sharp and crisp to include all action, edges and markings. You may stumble across a British proofed gun every year or two with a stock, but they are generally a bit tougher to sell to American collectors than a Hartford gun that stayed home. This one is sharp, rare, available and red, white and blue all the way through.
