More than 200,000 1860 Army Revolvers were manufactured from 1860 through 1873. Colt's biggest customer was the US Government with over 127,000 units being purchased and issued to Union troops and was the most widely used revolver of the Civil War. This Colt Civil War Revolver is one of these issued guns and is generally in good to very good condition. It shows mottled coloring from grey to brown over all its surfaces with scattered areas of minor rusting. 70%+ light cylinder scene remains and the frame shows traces of case colors. Action and grips are very good with inspector cartouches still showing, but not boldly. A good condition, solid gun that has seen plenty of use but retains good over-all condition.
