This is a generally fine condition Colt Powder Flask, martially marked for issue and use with Colt Second and Third Model Dragoon Revolvers as issued to members of Colt Dragoons and U. S. Mounted Riflemen from the period 1848 - 1860. It shows a wonderful condition with no dents to the body on either side with a mellow patina. The top is fully inspected to include a "K" sub-inspector mark and angle-struck "WAT" final inspection. The ball door is boldly stamped "Colt's Patent". The charger (which I believe to be original) is fully extended and has damage to its base. I can not remove it nor turn it in further to the lid. If you have a spare charger or are handy with minor repair, you may be able to double its value with some TLC.
