This is a relatively rare find and seldom offered on the market. These were offered by Heiser in the 1910 period and were a copy of rigs manufactured by both Furstnow and Coggshall of Miles City, Montana. This example is for a 5 1/2" Colt Single Action and is in great shape save for its missing waist strap. You can find these pictured in the book, "Packing Iron". They were sometimes worn inside of a jacket but more popular with cowboys who preferred to not have their weapons getting tangled with their riggings.
