COLT WALKER/DRAGOON FLASK. - Lot #3421

COLT DRAGOON FLASK. This is a fine condition flask with near perfect body and showing generous amounts of original laquer finish, primarily in protected areas. The top of the cap is stamped "WAT" and has the small "P" sub-inspection marks of Nahum Patch, who examined the earliest Walker and Dragoon flasks as well as the Walker Revolvers. Usual graduated charger spout with "Colt's Patent" stamped trap-door on the ball compartment. This flask is 100% with the exception of the screws that held the cap on. These can easily be replaced. The former owner had taken the top off to clean out caked powder from the sides of the flask interior and mis-placed the screws years ago and never found them. Regardless, these can be replaced and the flask is a great one. These are almost never found in good condition any more and often bring $3,000 - 5,000 at auction. A great accessory to display with a Colt Walker or Dragoon.
