These packs are early Civil War with 1861 patent dates and are not the wood-block type. Note the 46/100 designation and earliest patent date of 1861. These sit on a small cardboard tray and each have percussion caps on the bottom edge, then wrapped with brown paper with string-pull. I have 9 of these packs in stock. They range in condition from opened and stained but good condition, to near mint and are priced from $350 - $985.00. These were used for the Colt Dragoon and to a lesser extent, the 1860 Army if you could jam one home. J & T cartridge boxes after 1861 were marked with the new patent dates of 1861 AND 1862, were in a soft pack and marked for 44/100 caliber.
