This is a beautiful, small-frame Volcanic in very fine condition with the standard 4" barrel. It retains prox. 85% original blue to its barrel mixing with untouched brown patina. The frame is a nut-shell brown patina that has never been cleaned or polished. The grips retain 98% plus original varnish and have a tiny chip to the left front toe. The bolt shows generous amounts of fire-blue This rare gun shows only slight handling marks to its frame. It's a nice little gun. One of the predecessors to the famed Henry Rifle, the Winchester Rifle Series, and cousin to the Iron-Framed Smith & Wesson Volcanics, these small, 31 caliber pistols were manufactured by The New Haven Arms Company which later morphed into The Winchester Repeating Arms Company.
