This is an absolutely untouched Colt Single Action Army Revolver of Government issue. The gun is sharp and crisp to include edges, markingS and action with the exception of it's worn and weathered grips showing faint but discernible cartouches. These faint cartouches tell me the the gun was carried for some time and simply suffered exposure to the elements. Issued in 1885, it does not appear to be a gun that sat in a warehouse but a gun that was used and carried in the field, still retaining some nice condition features. A fine example at a fine price.
