This Schuetzen Rifle is absolutely untouched and "out-of-the-woods". Fairly plain and showing only a small amount of embellishment, the gun has a 31" barrel with rifled bore of approx. 44 caliber. The barrel plug and tang are tastefully scroll engraved in Germanic style and the engraved lock plate is marked "F. Weygand in Biebrich". The action (with double-set triggers) is sharp and crisp, as are the markings, edges and wood, which has a checkered wrist. It has a pistol grip iron trigger guard and the usual Scheutzen butt-plate. The guard and rear sight show heavy dirt and dust as does the bore. The entire gun shows very minimal use and handling. It just needs a good cleaning to become an excellent condition addition to a Schuetzen or European Collection.
