This is a great Civil War era Adams Revolver that is factory engraved and inscribed on its top strap; "Major Rawlings from Robert Adams" followed by the Adams address. This inscription is 100% original and extremely rare, however I can make no claims as to any association to any Confederate Officer or Soldier with whom these guns were so popular, as I have not had time to have the name researched. I will leave that up to the buyer of this outstanding engraved specimen. The gun is in excellent overall condition to include prox. 80% original blue and near mint action, markings and grips. A vintage Civil War era Adams, the likes of which we may not see again for a very long time.
