Considered by many gun collectors to be the pinnacle of the Colt's factory streamlined revolver design, this 1862 Colt Police five-shot percussion revolver was a favorite of Civil War Officers. This example is in excellent condition. It retains 93 - 95% original blue on the barrel and cylinder mixing with brown patina, extremely small bits of staining and slight greying areas on some of the high points to the metal. The case colored surfaces show 95% color (most of it quite vivid) as do the screw-heads. The grips are near mint showing little use.
