Colt Third Model Dragoons with 8" barrels are among the rarest of all Colt Percussion Handguns and having been manufactured just prior to the outbreak of the Civil War, are highly desirable. This is one of the better examples that we have come across. The gun is primarily a gray patina, but it shows generous amounts of blue to its barrel and case colors to its frame. The screws are nice and the grips full, with most of their varnish. Cylinder scene is about 90% and save for some scattered roughness to the cylinder, this gun would be priced close to $20,000.00. It's a good one.
