This is a very strong condition flap holster maker marked by J. I. Pittman of New York, a popular maker of leather goods for Union forces during the Civil War. It has a strong makers mark on its body and the leather is strong and supple showing good care through its life. It has a couple of extra iron rivets added to the flap to re-enforce the tab. Other than that, it's great and will hold Colt or Remington Army and Navy sized Revolvers.
