B. DOUGLAS CONFEDERATE CAVALRY SABER. This is a very strong example of an untouched Confederate Cavalry Saber manufactured by B. Douglas of Columbia, South Carolina. The architecture of these sabers is fairly distinctive at the pommel with their mushroom pommels and swell to the middle of the grip. The grip leather is in extremely fine condition and retains full wire wrap. The hilt has an untouched brass patina and the blade shows an even, untouched brown patina, showing age but not pitting. It also retains its pad.
