This particular saddle was captured by a member of the 2nd Illinois Cavalry and brought home from the war after its capture from a Confederate Officer. It is a Texas "Hope" style saddle, maker marked with full documentation and complete provenance with affidavit. It's not for sale, just for lookin' at!

I am currently looking for Civil War Officer's Saddles for purchase. Enlisted-man's Saddles will also be considered when in excellent condition.
