Freeman Revolvers are considered by collectors as a secondary Martial Revolver as they were produced in 1863-64 with hopes of Government orders for an excellent solid-frame revolver. VOLCANIC PISTOL, VOLCANIC BY NEW HAVEN ARMS

One of the highest quality and well-made guns manufactured during the Civil War Era, this gun was discontinued after about 250 were made due to a patent infringement on the Smith & Wesson systems.
