CIVIL WAR COLT MODEL 1860 FLUTED CYLINDER ARMY WITH FACTORY LETTER TO THE GOVERNOR OF OHIO, WILLIAM DENNISON.
Shipped in June of 1861 with 49 other guns, this very good condition Flute is one of the few that factory letter offering the owner a glimpse of its use during the Civil War. These guns were ordered by Dennison and issued to Volunteer Officers in the State of Ohio who unlike enlisted men, normally had to purchase all of their equipment.
